Last Updated: January 2026
Welcome to RideBids. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RideBids website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “RideBids Platform” or “Platform”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the RideBids Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform.
1. Agreement Between You and RideBids
- Your use of the Platform constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and RideBids.
- RideBids reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective when posted, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Certain features, services, or promotions may be governed by additional terms (“Supplemental Agreements”), which are incorporated by reference and apply when you use those features.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old (or of legal adult age as required by law) and legally capable of entering into contracts.
- You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current account information and to keep it updated.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your login credentials.
- Drivers are required to meet RideBids’ additional eligibility standards, including but not limited to possessing a valid driver’s license, maintaining appropriate insurance coverage, undergoing background checks, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Services — Riders and Drivers
- RideBids acts as a platform that connects riders with drivers. RideBids is not a common carrier, transportation company, or direct provider of transportation services.
- Each ride is a direct agreement between the rider and the driver. RideBids only facilitates negotiation, matching, payment processing, and related platform functions.
- Each accepted ride constitutes a separate agreement between rider and driver.
4. Pricing, Payments & Platform Fees
- Riders may propose a fare, and drivers may accept, counter-offer, or decline. The final fare is determined by mutual agreement between rider and driver.
- RideBids retains a platform service fee equal to 30% of the final fare. Drivers receive the remaining 70%.
- Payment processing is handled through RideBids’ supported payment methods. Riders authorize RideBids to charge the agreed fare to their selected payment method, and drivers receive payouts via their registered payout method.
- Cancellation policies, including any applicable penalties or fees, will be disclosed within the Platform and may vary based on timing and circumstances.
- Platform service fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated within the Platform. Any payment disputes, chargebacks, or refund requests must be submitted through RideBids’ in-app support system and will be handled in accordance with RideBids’ internal dispute resolution procedures.
5. Independent Contractor Status
- Drivers are independent contractors and are not employees, representatives or agents of RideBids.
- RideBids does not provide commercial automobile insurance, liability insurance, or any other insurance coverage for riders or drivers.
